There are a number of different types of warts and can be treated by an advanced cosmetic procedure.
Following all procedures Christine will give specific after care advice.
Treatment
There are two successful procedures available to treat warts, the decision will be made following the assessment of the wart or warts.
One option is cautery, this is where a high energy current is used to remove the wart.
Another option is cryo-surgery (freezing), with this treatment freezing of the wart is used to destroy the unwanted tissue.
Treatment of warts usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. There is some discomfort from both treatments when it is applied, but it is tolerable.
Cost of treatment is £45.00 for a 30 minute appointment.
Blood Spot – (Campbel de Morgan) are bright red spots, the size varies but are usually 2 millimeters in diameter. Blood spots are coils of tiny blood vessels that come through the skin and are very close to the surface, hence the bright red appearance. The blood spots are often found on the chest, neck, arms, back or abdomen and become more common as we get older.
These blood spots are not dangerous be problematic for cosmetic reasons.
The removal of these blood spots is completely safe.
Treatment
The removal is removed by a probe using an electric current to cauterize the blood vessel.
The procedure for each spot is very quick and some discomfort may be felt.
A cold compress will be used to reduce any inflammation created by the treatment.
Cost of treatment is £45.00 for a 30 minute appointment.
Skin Tags – are common benign skin growths that look like a small piece of hanging skin. The skin can be of various sizes and colours. They are usually found on the neck, underarms, eyelids and under breasts. The skin tags usually hang from the skin by a small stork. The sizes vary greatly and some may become as large as a grape.
Treatment
The treatment for the removal of skin tag is known as cautery. A probe is used, with a very high frequency of energy to remove the tag from the stalk. There is some temporary discomfort but it is easily tolerable. Some scabbing at the site may occur but will drop off within one to two weeks.
Cost of treatment is £45.00 for a 30 minute appointment.
Milia – are small white (sometimes pale yellow) spots which usually appear around the eyes, cheeks or eyelids.
Milia occur when dead skin cells become trapped into small pockets of the skin. But some people have great concerns regarding their appearance.
Treatment
The treatment for removal of the milia is a simple procedure, the tip of a probe with a small frequency of energy is inserted into the milia to remove the affected area. There will be some discomfort but it is tolerable, some scabbing may take place but will drop off within one to two week.
Cost of treatment is £45.00 for a 30 minute appointment.
Moles – (or Naevi) are terms used for most skin lumps or blemishes that occur on our skin from birth or as we get older. They can be raised or flat, skin coloured or dark. Most moles are harmless, but changing moles should be checked out by a medical professional.
A cosmetic mole is unsightly, irritating and can catch clothing.
A suspicious mole changes in size, shape or colour, it can itch or bleed.
