Dermaroller - Face Tech

Dermaroller

The Original Dermaroller is an innovative medical device for natural skin improvement.

FaceTech is proud to offer this latest technique in treating the most difficult skin conditions such as icepick and boxcar acne scars.

The process is called microneedling and treats skin conditions such acne scars, hyperpigmentation,  stretch marks and aged skin.

The Dermaroller is a medical device that will produce thousands of microscopic needle-columns in the skin. Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the skin and will be approximately 0.1mm in width. The skin will close rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly. The body then react to the intrusion of the tiny surgical needles and stimulates the healing process. Skin cells, in the radius of 1 to 2mm around the pricking channel release growth signals that stimulate the proliferation of new cells. These new cells eventually transform into collagen and elastin fibres. These new collagen fibres integrate into the existing collagen formation in the upper dermis, and the new fibre formation thickens the skin and fills former scar tissue.

Following the Dermaroller Therapy your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, the process takes time as new collagen and elastin is formed and your blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6-weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen, and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a gradual and long lasting enhancement.

Dermaroller Therapy usually consist of three treatment procedures, with approximately 6 weeks between each.

Immediately following the Dermaroller Therapy you will look like you have a moderate sunburn, your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1 - 2 hours and will normally recover on the same day, with only a slight redness the following day.

Tepid water for cleansing the area is recommended for the first 48 hours following the procedure. It is recommended not to wear make-up for the first 12 hours after the procedure.

You will be provided with a cream to help sooth your skin and a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen following your first treatment.

Cost of the first treatment is £250.00, each consecutive treatment is £150.00
